16 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Hazy yellow gold pour. Large pillowy white head. Spotty lacing. Bready malt aroma. Notes of wet cardboard. First sip is bitter hops with a touch of plasticine. The cinnamon plum tea is missing in action. Finishes dry and bitter. Nothing much else.

Pint can dated 8/28/18, pours cloudy yellow orange with white head. Medium body. Pine and citrus aroma. Pine, grapefruit and grassy hops taste, with very bitter finish. Probably well past it's prime.

Nice, crisp amber and copper coloured body with a thinnish tan head that's about a single centimetre tall that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of caramelised sugars, toffee, light biscuity malt with some peat and graininess and a touch of flowers towards the end and a dry note from the lager yeast. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong caramel, toffee, grain and especially yeastie flavours show through and leave some pungency towards the end with a dry and herbal flavour at the end and a crisp note throughout. Aftertaste shows the grainy, bready and especially caramelley flavour with some yeast and dry notes that come through and leave a light bitterness from the lager yeasts and biscuity elements with some soft sugars at the tail end. Overall, about right for the style with a deep caramel and toffee flavour set that runs from the smell to the absolute finish with some drier notes, a good hit of biscuity malt and lager yeasts, but fairly simplistic throughout. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 25-September-2020 for US$3,59 sampled at my house here in Washington on 26-October-2020.

Grapefruit, orange rind. Pours hazy golden with good head and lacing. Finishes decently bitter. Some green onion. Good balance. Can.

Tallboy can, poured clear light copper with trace of beige head. Medium body. Caramel and roasted malt aroma, malty taste up front then toffee. Mild hops finish.

Pint can, pours cloudy yellow with off-white head. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Lemon and grape aroma. Yeast and spice dominate the taste. Finish is long and spicy.

$4.30 pint can, WW. Hazy gold with a white head. Peach and apricot, pine, orange peel, resin nose. Flavor is orange and peach, resin, pine, pineapple, grapefruit, more resin.

Can. Pours a hazy yellow with a slight orange hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet citrus with some dank citrus and a bit of rind and grass underlying. Flavor has a nice citrus note with a bit of rind and tropical fruits underlying.

Ridiculously hazy golden, raw honey coloured body, almost 90 per cent opaque, with a super dense, frothy tan and even golden head, about eight centimetres tall at first that fades to just an ugly lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma of alcohol, deep floral and perfumey hops with noticeable grassy and funky Azacca dryness and a light hit of sugars towards the end, but this smells dank and bitter. Medium-bodied; Deep medicinal flavours at first show a pungent grainy and floral bite from the hops with a lot of dryness, some yeast and softer sugars give it a bit more complexity and some light earthy and biscuity malt provide a relatively good balance. Aftertaste is deep, medicinal, slightly astringent and showing a dry, deep, dank hoppiness with Azacca first (in a bad way for me), but some alcohol and yeast funk, too - but good balance. Overall, an appropriate beer for the style, and I would have liked it a lot better had they NOT used Azacca. I liked the premise 'The Fallen' more than the actual beer, but cheers to them for doing this and of course the men and women who have given their lives fighting for our great country.
