12 oz. can from HEB in San Antonio, TX. Pours a semi-clear gold color with a small white head and fair retention. No lacing. Light malt aroma. Basic, straightforward pale malt lager flavor, but less grainy and less carbonation that your typical macro lager. Smooth, clean and light. Not bitter. Easily repeatable. Drink it for 'Merica.

Better than I had hoped! Nice creamy body with vanilla and roasted malt flavors. The nose is quiet, with a hint of cocoa or coffee. Lingering caramel and coffee aftertaste. Fairly mellow and drinkable, balanced between barrel and stout characteristics, and not over-roasted.

Draft pour pint at 3 Daughters, St. Pete. Dense black pour with a quick fading head. Lots of rich cocoa notes. Slick and smooth body. Dusty cocoa with a dark bready malt. Quite sweet, but it would feel odd to complain about that within the style. Dessert Stout if any at this brewery. Pretty good.
