A lot of clove, too much for my taste. Rounded fullish palate, nice texture from the beer engine. Some lemon, bready, but mainly clove. As I said when I drank it, I don't love it.

Not rating to style but just commenting that this comes across more like a "Belgian strong golden ale" than a farmouse ale or saison. Golden color. Big herbal nose and a little dough - flavor similar, herbal and bitter with doughy malts plus a bit of phenol, notes of clove and bubblegum, but at least they are mild so I’m not too put off by them. Good medium body. I would like to see a highly carb’ed bottle conditioned version of this - give it that class Belgian fluff.

Draft at Ravenous Pig. I was hoping it would be hoppier, given the description of using "german super hops" and being dry-hopped. Aroma is very mild, with only the slightest hint of grassy hops. Flavor similarly grassy, floral elements near the finish which is bitter but perhaps not bitter enough. The malts are light crackery and pretty clean, but I think perhaps just a tad more than you want in malt contribution. Tea like color.

Clear amber color, tiny off-white head. Odd spicey, caramalt barley mix in the nose. Light-bodied. Some odd flavor too (maybe from rye): riped fruits, barley and spices. Meh.
