Definitely full-bodied, sweet, thick and strong -so I can understand the comparison to a stout. This is a wonderful beer that demands to be drunk at about 55-60 degF- it has a complex malt palate that doesn't become apparent until it warms up.

A very tasty beer - but not a convincing pilsner. It seemed to have some traits of a Helles. Nice noble hop aroma, and very well-balanced flavor. Medium bodied and very smooth. Yellowish color - not golden.

This is a wonderful full-hopped IPA style. Golden in color, clean scent. Strong complex hoppy flavor.
