Almost black with thin dark head. Aroma is packed with booze and barrel. Whiskey soaked raisins and brown sugar caramel. Flavour is packed with date syrup and dried fruit. Sweet, boozy, intense.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 26 Feb 2022) Hazy golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, sourish nose with lemon, lime and vanilla. Fruity, tart taste with notes of lime, lemon, vanilla, shortbread, a slight vinegar acidity and a tart and dry finish. Medium body, dry. Tasty and refreshing, with the dry acidity making it highly drinkable. Very nice.

Brune foncée, noire obsidienne - huileux filament doré au verre, col épais crémeux café au lait.
Arôme est fortement axé sur les malts - impression de cacao puffs, Bourbon modéré en rétro-nasal, fruits noirs et une petite douceur de vanille - le côté marshmallow est discret.
Palais est épais, malté/ Bourbon avec un retour de cacao et vanille - le côté marshmallow est plus discret et en retrait - la complexité se développe plus après une bonne demi-heure à t°. Le tout reste correct sans jamais tomber dans le surfait d'un gros pastry stout. Fini colle finement aux lèvres, retrouve aussi un léger fruité noir - cerise et date.

35cl Blik van Beer Republic. Donkerbruin bier, beige kraag. Moutig, caramel, cacao, koffie met melk, hint van Haagse Hopjes, redelijk zoet en bitter. Lichte tot medium body.

355ml can, online from Beer Republic, day 10 of their advent. Pours clear, deep chestnut with a beige/tan head. Aroma: malt, toast, caramel. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, malty, caramel, light toffee. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Enjoyed this.

Clear dark brown colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour are really malty. Slightly toasted but not too bitter. Really smooth and easy to drink.

#10 Beer Republic advent calendar. Slightly unclear brown, small creamy head. Caramel, raisins, dates, toffee, some chocolate, some metal. Malty sweetness, light metallic bitterness. Light bodied, oily watery texture, soft carbonated, malty sweet finish. Not convincing, not bad either.
