Hazy brown ale with a thick creamy light moka head. Aroma of caramel and herbal hops, with some light signs of oxidation. In mouth, a rather sweet pruney malt, with light nuttyness and some crispyness. Hops come later, herbal in character. Some light alcohol warmth. Medium bodied, but a bit cloying. BB B/02/2006 (?).

this one was too cold at the first sip. Do not drink too cold. However, when it warmed up a little it grew a very nice character. if it hadn’t changed it would’ve been a 1.9’er..! too sweet, and a little too much alcohol with nothing to show for it. Not one i will buy again, but if offered i will drink it with pleasure. this beer is just not me. generic 6% cheap strong beer taste, you will probably disagree.

Comparing to something i know, i would compare this one to tuborg guld (usually called guldtuborg). TG has a 5.6% alc. and this one has 6%, but carries those 6% with great style. The higher alc. (than 4.5 or so which i am most used to) is used to make a great taste, not to just make it stronger. Or so it seems. I get the feeling of a strong, mature, "i know what i’m about" beer, and it tastes like more. The bottle is nice too. We are not into something extarordinary, but TG is a favorite of mine, and this one is just as good, or better. Probably better. Taste is like a good gold beer. None of the bad things have happened to this beer, it is like a gold beer ought to be. It would be a great thing to get drunk with, on a carpet in the woods, a hot summer day, in good company. It has these extra nuances to the taste that are really great. You can explore this one. It has more to it than the first impression. Great beer of its kind. Not the kind of beer i really like, but one of the best i’ve had in that category. (i’ve probably tasted 30-35 different kinds in that category)

Bottled. Copper/amber coloured, small white head. Sweet malts, some hops and fruits in aroma. Flavour is mainly flowery hoppy. Interesting Pilsener, I would say it’s more like IPA meets witbier or something like that. Oh well, still a pleasant brew.

Hazy copper with a thick, off-white head. Aromas of caramel, pralines, pear and apple. Tastes of caramel and pecans followed by white pepper and some hop bitteness. Thick mouthfeel with lots of sweet malt

(Siphon bottle 200 cl) Clear, very dark amber with a tall, creamy, off-white head. Malty, roasted aroma. Body is full with notes of roasted malt and a caramelish sweetness. Almost no bitterness. But apart from the missing hops this really appears more of a Bock than an Ale. 241205

Swing-top bottle: Slightly hazy, golden coloured, stable, fluffy white head; distictive big floral hoppiness in the nose, grains and dust, too; distinctive dry, bitter flavour, medium bodied; long lasting, dry, aromatic hoppy finish. Very hoppy=very good !

Bottle. Sourish, unpleasant aroma. Cloudy reddish chestnut colour. Flavour is malty with a little alcohol, but still quite unpleasant. Sourish, harshly bitter aftertaste.

A hazy red beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with lots of berries, besides hints of honey. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel and honey beside hints of ascorbic acid, leading to a dry slightly woody end.

Tap at ’t Arendsnest. Cloudy brown color, medium off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, some rye, bit caramel, some hop. Bit bitter taste, roasted malt. Full body, slightly bitter aftertaste. Decent beer.
