Op 1 augustus 2013 vond er een doorstart plaats zijn onder de vlag van de brouwerijhuurder Sint Christoffel Bieren BV in Breda. De bieren worden gebrouwen in de Belgische Proefbrouwerij te Lochristi. Swing-top bottle: Slightly hazy, golden coloured, stable, fluffy white head; distictive big floral hoppiness in the nose, grains and dust, too; distinctive dry, bitter flavour, medium bodied; long lasting, dry, aromatic hoppy finish. Very hoppy=very good !

Bottle. Sourish, unpleasant aroma. Cloudy reddish chestnut colour. Flavour is malty with a little alcohol, but still quite unpleasant. Sourish, harshly bitter aftertaste.

A hazy red beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with lots of berries, besides hints of honey. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel and honey beside hints of ascorbic acid, leading to a dry slightly woody end.

After having the blond, and being horribly disappointed in it I was not sure what to think of this one. Sampled from a rather nice 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a medium sized tan head. The beer is very heavily carbonated. The aroma is fairly faint but has light elements of ripe fruit and molasses. The flavor is bitter with a hint of molasses and ripe fruit and a moderate brown sugar element. The finish is tangy. The overall flavor is pleasant but rather subdued. This is not a particularly remarkable beer. But at least it was not crap like the blond.

This is a new beer and brewer for me. Sampled from a rather cool design 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer pours a slightly hazy medium pale yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is fairly faint but does contain a dry floral hop element. The flavor is fairly typical macro style sour malts with a faint bitter floral hop element. There is a mildly grassy undertone. The finish is bitter. This beer is really rather crappy. I am amazed at reading all the rave reviews here.

(Bottle 33 cl) Very pretty reddish amber with a beige head. Presumably clear and filtered but hides a surprise sediment. Lovely aromatic, almost perfumy. Roasted and caramel malts in the flavours and a promounced sweetnes balanced well by the bittering hops. This is a classy beer indeed. 200602

Bottle: Poured an hazy yellow color beer with a huge soft foamy head with great retention. Aroma of floral hops is clearly apparent but I couldn’t really detect any crisp malt and hops as with other pilsner. Taste is very refreshing with lots of malt and a mild bitter ending. Does not fit in my usual description of a pils but this was very enjoyable nonetheless.
