Description

(330 ml swingtop bottle, bought in Denmark). Copper colour, hazy, good thick head. Lovely aroma of spices, leather and caramel - from the aroma, I’d swear this was a Belgian ale. Bottom fermented it is, and it’s easier to sense this is a lager through the flavour and aftertaste, which still are very good. Malty flavour, mild spices and caramel without too much sweetness. Lightly hopped. Moreish.

Fresh Malt and fruit aroma (Strawberries, lemon?), a hint of leather. Cloudy brown amber, foamy brown head. Strawberries, a bit roasted malt (honeyish), mellow sweetness (cane sugar) and some wooden notes. Full-bodied, sparkly mouthfeel.

BB2004 Bottle Great color, small fine bubbles surface through a grassy lime-yellow colored beer. Some pale golds, quite muted. Good white head, bottle conditioned. Very hoppy aroma, spicy, floral, light hints of anise and mint, quite herb-like. Flavor is bold, juicy, and very hoppy, mouthfeel is wonderful, carbonated, but not overly so, and it’s a softer natural carbonation. It really goes well with the hops and lightly sweet malt. Very crisp and clean tasting, more herbal flavors and a pretty dry finish. Yum, Thanks much for the bottle Philippe (Bov)!
On draught at Moan and Dove, 8/19/05 Sparkling, yet with a touch of haziness and a small but lingering white head. Pale-white golden, with light straw yellows. Aroma of perfect hoppiness, don’t know what else to say, just clean, fragrant, lightly floral and very rustic. Flavor is an incredible balance of clean, pefectly done malting, honeyish and substantial, with lightly bitter, highly flavorful hops that are well intertwined with the maltiness. Couldnt ask for a better mouthfeel. No wateriness. This was one of the best draught beers I’ve ever had. 9/5/10/5/19

Hazy blond color; giant creamy head. Too light aroma, while the taste is much better, with a good malt line and a good (strong and partially aromatic) hopping. Long final as well.

A very sweet aroma eminates from this beer with notes of fruit, berries, elderflower, and yeast. The color is orange and it has a huge head. The flavor is of lemon, elderflowers, honey, lemongrass, fresh hops, and with a rather bitter dry finish.

Copper pour with fluffy white head - mildly sweet aroma of dark malts - toasty, biscuity flavor that balances well with the sweet malt backbone - finish is hoppy and a little thin - tasty, but not worth the 3.50 for the 11.2 oz.

An amber beer with a nice head. It has a slightly fruity aroma and a slightly metallic prickling fruit and spice flavor - nice and intriguing

Red-brown color, with a creamy head indeed. Kind of malty aroma. Better than the Christoffel Blond IMO.
