Established in 2008, the Wedge is a neighborhood brewery with two locations in the heart of Asheville’s River Arts District. The Wedge serves as a gathering place for people of all ages and walks of life to laugh, exchange ideas and drink Wedge beer.

The Wedge is a community crafted by the people of Asheville.

2014 RBWG Draft at the brewery tasting room. Black pour with a tan head. Dusty cocoa powder aroma. Lightly sweet flavor full of roast malts and chocolate. Good body, smooth.

Draft at Appalachian Vintner during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours light, unclear brown with a creamy head. Rich fruits in the nose, gummy bears. Big sweet flavor with some bread, sugary fruits, dates, plums, candies. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with super sugary fruits. A bit cloying. In the end just a bit too heavy.

On tap at the brewery during RBWG 2014. Pours a black with a dark grayish brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a strong chocolate note with a bit of dark grains backing. Flavor has a creamy semisweet chocolate note with a dark grain backbone.
