75cl bottle shared. A gusher. Thin tan head. Very hazy black pour. A bit watery for a barley wine and the gushing lets it down. Earlier Rating: 11/8/2016 Total Score: 475cl bottle shared at the Paas monthly tasting. Thin ring tan head. Clear black pour. Very good

Bottle shared at home. Thick pour, dark mahogany with a tan head that has good retention. Notes of roasted malts, smoke, freshly roasted coffee, dark chocolate. Medium body and carbonation and a roasty bitter-sweet finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Déguste Rookstout on 10 Feb 2017 at 21:33 - Score: 8
