Kentucky Fried Charleston Trip Beer #47. Pours a dark blackberry color with a large creamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, mild floral hops. The taste is mild roast, caramel, dark fruits, herbal hops. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness.

Kentucky Fried Charleston Trip Beer #46. Draft at the brewery. Pours a clear dark amber with a thin fizzy tan head. Fair head retention. The aroma smells exactly like the summer sausage I was eating in my hotel room last night. That and a mild bit of fruitiness. The taste is smoke, caramel malts, mild fruits. Thin-medium bodied.

The taste is toffee malt, cherry-like fruitiness, earthy hops. Medium bodied, sweet but decently balanced. Refreshing.

Aroma of grainy, bready malts, grape-like fruit notes, mild grassy hops. The taste is pale doughy malts, noble hops, mild fruitiness. Medium bodied, faint lingering bitterness, lacks crispness.
