Description
We’re a small Belgian brewery on the grounds of a four-generation-old family restaurant in Damme. We brew classic Belgian styles with a twist, as well as international styles not common in Belgium.
In 2022, we decided to join forces with Hedonis Brewery and start a new brewing site in Michelbeke, in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes.

Bottle shared at THT March. Hazy golden with off white head. Grassy, grapefruit peel, dry bitter mineral water, tonic water, soft bready malts. Under medium sweet, quite bitter. Medium bodied with saison-like fizzy carbonation. Quite like this.

Dark brown to black colored, medium creamy beige-tan head. Aroma is of roasted malt, coffee, medium citrus and floral hops, bit pine. Taste is medium sweet malt, roasted malt and plenty of dark chocolate and coffee, moderate citrus and pine, floral hops, medium+ bitterness, some spicy notes, dry finish and roasty coffee aftertaste, some roasty acidity, a bit too much of it. Medium bodied, average+ carbonation, oily. Roasty. (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

24/02/2018 @home - 33cl bottle from I don't know anymore. Or tderoeck or Bierhalle deconinck. Dark brown, nice steady tanned head. Nose is roast, caramel, chocolate, banana. Taste is bitter roast, some coffee ground, dark chocolate, some vanilla, some fruits, bitter, bit alcohol. I'm in between unbalanced and interesting tasting journey, but I enjoyed it so...

Bottle shared in Hackney / many thanks is to Cloin. Pours hazy orange-gold with a frothy, lightly billowing white head. Expressive citrusy hops in the nose, wheat flakes, saison yeast. Light to medium sweet flavour with more bready wheat character, subtle bitter straw, some ripe lemon, tangerine. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more vibrant citrus fruit character, melon, tangerine, low bitterness, wheat bread. Good fun. Solid.

Collab of three small Belgian breweries, bottle from Willems. Regularly shaped, creamy, thick, off-white, irregularly lacing head over a hazy, orange-hued amber beer. Aroma of smoked bacon (though not too overpowering), smoked peaches, caramel, hint of cocoa dust, red apple, peanuts, dry cookies, dried orange peel. Fruity onset, crisp red apple, peach, light banana, sweetish, very sharply carbonated, a bit numbing. Nutty, toasty bitterish malt body with a thin metallic edge, caramelly malt sweetness lingering even after the smoke sets in, very obviously so yet still not overpowering and reminiscent more of smoked wood than smoked bacon as in a classic German Rauchbier. Ends with toasted malt bitterness, floral hop bitter accents and lingering fruitiness. Elegant hybrid of a Belgian amber with a Rauchbier, very well executed but perhaps a tad weak in smokiness to accompany a good cigar. Matched well with a cigarette, though...
