Description
We’re a small Belgian brewery on the grounds of a four-generation-old family restaurant in Damme. We brew classic Belgian styles with a twist, as well as international styles not common in Belgium.

In 2022, we decided to join forces with Hedonis Brewery and start a new brewing site in Michelbeke, in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes.

First tasted at Brugs Bierfestival, 3 February 2018. 8/5/7/4/15=3.9. 18/1/2019. Rerate, bottle from Prik & Tik (Sijsele). Pours cloudy black with a lasting, small, frothy, unstable, beige head; lots of lacing. Strong aroma of fondant, coffee roast, salted caramel, (burnt) toast, cigar ash, blackcurrant, fig, salty licorice. Taste is light to medium malty sweet, very chocolatey, some peanut & salted caramel, umami note of black olive; medium roasted bitter middle brings pure fondant, a bit powdery, espresso & tobacco. Dry, malty finish, some peppery hops apparent too, lingering toast, 'noir de noir' chocolate, espresso, almost ashy, and subtle warming whisky alcohol. Medium to full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. No genuine 'oyster saltiness' here, but balanced and very enjoyable.

Nose is nice blue cheese hop, very raw bitter coffee, interesting plum syrup. Taste is massively bitter coffee, lingering bitter, raw, dry, empty otherwise but still nice very harsh with low cheese & touch plum. Harsh but nice & tasty brew.

Nose is massive green coffee, low vegetable coffee,… Taste is all interesting massively bitter green coffee, raw bitter, green coffee, little else, body is empty outside of the green coffee,… Bit too much green coffee for me but an interesting beer & partially successful one.

At a tasting, small bubbly creamy head, murky darkish brown color, aroma of vanila pod, milk chocolate and cake with a whiff of sea, dark bitter chocolate flavor with a charred hint, nit too heavy. Really nice and highly enjoyable.
