Description
We’re a small Belgian brewery on the grounds of a four-generation-old family restaurant in Damme. We brew classic Belgian styles with a twist, as well as international styles not common in Belgium.
In 2022, we decided to join forces with Hedonis Brewery and start a new brewing site in Michelbeke, in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Cloin. Hazy dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, dry and with some roasty bitterness. Light dry dark chocolate. Modest ripe citrus and dry pine in the finish. Light bitter finish.Tasty enough.

New Siphon beer, a BIPA fermented with saison yeast. At Hedonis Ambachtsfest. Thick, moussy, dense, papery lacing, stable, pale yellowish beige head over a misty dark chestnut brown beer with ruddy hue. Aroma of pine resin, liquorice candy, hazelnut shells, damp earth, dusty old black chocolate, bayleaf, dried orange peel. Dryish onset, some elderberry-like sourishness mixed with subdued old raisin sweetishness, leathery touch, medium carbo, fluffy and lightly oily mouthfeel. Nutty, toasty middle with softening caramelly malt edges, long drying, spicy finish, earthy but elegantly piney and a tad zesty as well, bittering. Rounded and spicy, bitter and dry, a very nice beer indeed, somewhat reminiscent of BBP's Black Bird (in collaboration with Anspach & Hobsday) but less clean, more earthy (I guess this is supposed to be the 'saison' side of it) and -in that sense perhaps less charming.

Pretty cloudy pale beige to yellow beer, solid creamy nice white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit malty, grains, some citrus, fruity touch, bit grassy. MF: lively carbon, medium body (impressive for 3.3%!). Taste: quite some citrus, nice bitterness, very refreshing hops, bit grassy. Aftertaste: hoppy, lots of citrus, very bitter, bit resinous, grains, some hay, grassy finish. Very decent low abv beer!! Even at the end of a long afternoon of beer tasting, it still manages to satisfy my tasting buds!

On draught at at Café Rose Red, Brugge, Belgium, Saturday 16th September 2017 with Lynn and Barry. Pours black with a large subtle beige head, foamy and clingy. Definitely has a salty touch but good roastiness also shows along with a little liquorice. Good for not being too sweet or creamy, it's as a stout should be robust, a little charcoal ashy edge, good, really good. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9
