Description
We’re a small Belgian brewery on the grounds of a four-generation-old family restaurant in Damme. We brew classic Belgian styles with a twist, as well as international styles not common in Belgium.

In 2022, we decided to join forces with Hedonis Brewery and start a new brewing site in Michelbeke, in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes.

15/10/2016 - draft sample @ Bles Bierhappening. Black colour with creamy darktanned head. Nose is roasted malts and coffee, some licorice. Taste starts a bit creamy, sweet, than dry roasted malts, some coffee and chocolate. Third beer from this brewery and again a good one.

Draught Very good darker mossy-cream head, stable, over jet-black beer with textbook lace. Roasted, liquorice. I do detect mineral, but it remains pretty hidden, latent. In the background there’s another aroma, not unlike other grains or buckwheat, difficult to define; benzene. Liquorice, very roasted, again just a hint @ mineral. Lots of restsugars, no real stoutacidity. Medium bodied at least, again slick (~the other grainsaroma). Good stout, but nothing more. Br Retasted 17/02/2019 bottled Main difference being a much more obvious presence of the oyster shells, especially in the nose which can be qualified as salty. More balance in the flavour, but with again the salinity obvious. +1 point.

Draught Huge, dense, creamy, cream-coloured head, utterly stable and leaving textbook lace, over fully hazy foxy amber beer. Through the big head, fresh fruity New World hops filter out. Very fruity, citrussy and piney hops, lots of resin; yeast. Feels pretty well-bodied, yeast-filling. Wry-ish aftertaste, long resiny aftermath. Another hit. Again, very fresh (the bottles might turn out differently), but likeable in all aspects.

Draught Very good, whipped eggwhite-like head over fully cloudy yellow beer with an orange sheen. Fresh yeast, green herbs, pale malts. Very fresh-smelling. Bitterish, spicy. Again yeast but in the good way, no byproducts. A little bit of restsugars in the background, lemonpeel. Gristslick, obviously. Quite refreshing, medium carbonation. Excellent light beer, and for once, the moniker "Saison" is not usurped.
