22oz. bottle. Pours clear gold with a white head. I couldn’t really place the aroma but the first reviewer mentions sugar cookies, and I think that’s an accurate description, along with a bit of malt and spice. Taste: again, I yield to the original reviewer - suntan lotion is perhaps one accurate description of the taste. Maybe some honey and grass as well. Unidentified spices. This is some really weird stuff, and yet I think I should be able to finish my glass, so that’s a plus, I think.

22 oz. bottle, brought back by Spurge. Thanks for the first AR tick! Pours dark mahogany, with a big, frothy, beige head. The nose is caramel, black cherries, anise, spruce, and some mineral notes and earthiness. Fairly sweet and assertively bitter, giving it a nice, dry finish. Medium body, slightly astringent, hard, and sticky. This is a hoppy and strangely roasty saison. Unique, and pretty tasty, although it’s a little harsh.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with medium tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong roast and cocoa. Thin mouth with light roast and dark chocolate, light bitter finish, decent.

Bottle, courtesy of Jackl - thanks! First glass is a bright translucent golden pour with a large white(ish) head. Second glass got a little cloudy as this was packed with sediment. Nose is mostly yeast, some bits of dust and grain. Taste is still yeast forward with more florals opening up, a little dust, and an earthy graininess. Couldn’t pick up on the grits, but honestly I think I’ve have grits maybe twice. Drinks OK, but a little dull overall.
