Bottle in NH. Pours clear, light brown with a fine, creamy tan head. Light doughy brown bread in the nose, faint leaves. Light to medium sweet flavor, mild bready malts, mellow leafy bitterness, faint dried berries. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Simple finish, basic lightly toasted malts, leaves, berries, hints of cocoa. It’s pretty acceptable.

Bottle in a hotel room in NH. Pours clear, copper gold with a fine, foamy white head. Pretty poor. Lots of sugary, bready malts, some metallic tang, caramel. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary sweet finish with metallic bite, bread, mild tangy berries. Poor.

Bottle @ home tossed via courtesy of BlackIPA. Tasted during the Pussypete presents Molson/Labatt Grand Tasting 2013 in my parent’s basement. Cheers! Pours a clear golden appearance with a tiny white head. Skunky lemon aroma. A touch spritzy, really watery, skunky, corny flavor. Not good and very little boost offered.

Bottle @ home tossed via courtesy of BlackIPA. Tasted during the Pussypete presents Molson/Labatt Grand Tasting 2013 in my parent’s basement. Cheers! Pours a fairly clear reddish brown appearance with a thin light brown head. Cocoa, light coffee, a touch tangy aroma. Kind of thin, lightly roasted malty, chocolate, coffee, a touch smoky flavor. A bit thin and watery but not too horrible.

Bottle @ home tossed via courtesy of BlackIPA. Tasted during the Pussypete presents Molson/Labatt Grand Tasting 2013 in my parent’s basement. Cheers! Pours a clear dark burnt orange appearance with a light brown head. Toasted malty, caramel, a bit nutty, light espresso aroma. Slightly watery, a touch earthy, coffee, burnt malty flavor. Actually not overly bland like the others in the mixer pack but still not very good.

Bottle @ home tossed via courtesy of BlackIPA. Tasted during the Pussypete presents Molson/Labatt Grand Tasting 2013 in my parent’s basement. Cheers! Pours a clear burnt orange appearance with a cream colored head. Corny, cardboard, sweet fruity macro product aroma. Some caramel and toast in the flavor along with a touch of butter. Tastes kind of similar to the Michelob specialty series where they attempted to do interesting styles but most just tasted like corn. Molson Golden blows this away.

I was playing Monirae’s Casual Dining & Entertainment in Pennellville, NY with my band, and I noticed someone was drinking a can which had the name Labatt and I could see a 5, so I thought it was my favorite - Labatt 50. Nope, it was this 52 calorie beer, so gave her a shot. Golden, frothy off-white cap, average retention and drippy lace. Light cereal nose, but not much else. Very light grain taste, watery, with hints of honey in the aftertaste. Written on can, Labatt Rochester NY, Product of USA. Very mild brew that goes down well when cold, with very little calories. Nothing offensive here.

Clear bottle. Very light grainy malt aroma. Clear gold with a small white head which quickly dissipate to nothing. Sweet corn malt flavor. Light body, lively carbonation. Wow - pretty strong flavor for an ultra light.
