Draft: Dark brown color with a small tan head. Nose is chocolate and roast... here’s where I get fed up with this chocolate porter style: Tastes chocolatey enough, milk chocolate and actually pretty good at this point. Instead of following up with roast, coffee, or more cocoa it gets watery and loose. Mouthful is creamy, a plus, but it really drops off overall. Sigh.

Draft: Dark copper pour with a small sandy head. Aroma is piney and floral, taste comes through big with piney, citrus, and florals. Malty backbone is lightly bready, but still retains a sticky-sweet feel. Good.

Tap @ brewpub. Pour a dark brown with a finger of creamy tan head. Aroma is roasty and dry, some bittersweet chocolate. Tastes sweet and roasty, yet retains a little hoppiness. Chocolate, coffee, and roast. Has a little sour grounds / bitterness in the tail.

A gold colored beer. On the ordinary side, but a good enough session bee. Hop aroma. Flavor has more malt than hops, but the hops are there as well. A little sweet. Its best quality is an exceptionally smooth palate.
