Description
Beer from the Heart of Idaho! That was the dream in 2011, when Kevin Jones & Paul Holle founded Sawtooth Brewery in Ketchum, Idaho. Opening on 11/11/11 in a blizzard was just the beginning. After many years at what is now the Hotel Ketchum, Sawtooth Brewery opened the Public House in Ketchum in February 2016, the Tap Room in Hailey in July 2016, and consolidated production in Hailey in November 2016.

In December 2020 Sawtooth Brewery lauched Atmos Brewing Co. Non-Alcoholic Craft Beer and Creekside Hard Seltzer to round out the product family.

Sawtooth Brewery is now distributed in Idaho, Montana, & Utah and nationwide with Atmos Brewing. They have their Outpost food truck to host events such as Riverfest, Hailey Rocks, Ketchum Oktoberfest, the Sawtooth Valley Gathering, in addition to catering many events and private parties. We brew on a 15bbl Brewhouse and can all of our products in-house.

Bottle from Sawtooth brewery. Medium amber body with substantial fluffy head. Aroma presents equal parts floral hops and malts. Taste brings more of the same, finish is floral, soapy lingering hops. All together nice, tasty and easy drinking pale ale.

On tap at brewery. I?ve had sage done much better, not liking the blend here. Sage mutes the IPA nature, could be better with different quantities of sage or change of hop variety.

On tap at brewery. Nice creamy pour, thick coating remains behind. Mild hoppy nose and taste, allows malt to shine through. Nice accent on hops, right mix won’t deter beer newbies.

On tap at brewery. Cherries lead the nose, but fade into the background for the taste. Not a bad thing, as the wheat base holds up well on its own. Smooth, slick and kind of chewy.

Poured at taproom. Dry malt dominates, mild bitter finish accents the dryness. Clear golden, small head, lots of lacing. Sweet malt right on for a märzen.

On tap at the taproom. Nice wheat body on this, very light bodied, hazy pale golden body, tons of lacing. Not very effervescent, but body holds up well, smooth, and tasty.

On tap at Velocio. Hazy dark amber body, small, lasting foamy beige head. Malt is most noticeable aroma. Malts ever present in taste also, mildly sweet, with a nice bitter snap at the finish. Not too sweet, not too bitter.

On tap at Bier:Thirty, Boise Black with the classic "bubbles going up" after he nitro pour. Dense light tan head, again owing to the Nitro. Soft light roast maltiness. A touch bitter at the end. Quite mild flavors over all. Clean and well attenuated a touch of ashtray and campfire soot at the end. 8.6% ?! Really. And "...it comes in pints"
