Cloudy chestnut amber colour, average frothy light beige head, slowly diminishing, fair lacing. Sweet malty nose, toasted, caramel, brown sugar, dark fruits, light liquorice, bit spicy. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, roasted. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste roasted bittersweet, spicy notes. Expected more but nevertheless a decent Vienna.

Quite dark brown, hazy, strong creamy lasting tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, caramel and roasted malt with some small amount of sourness. Taste is medium sweet caramel, decent amount of chocolate, bread, roasted finish and again some sourness. Low+ herbal bitterness. Medium bodied, moderate+ carbonation. There’s a certain amount of "dirtiness" and sourness which is not entirely pleasant. Although some bottles can be less sour... Up. 2016: Chlorophenolic... Stop!! Every half a year I give it another go and it’s worse every time. Stop doing that!

Strågul farge med hvitt skum. Lukter av malt og noe krydder. Får servert denne iskald på en strandbar. Og smaker derfor fortreffelig i varmen. Lettdrikkelig pilsner.

50cl bottle at Tolkien House pours a murky deep brown with lots of creamy, off white head. Nose has toast, brown bread, mild grains of Paradise, some tree bark. Flavor is true to style, dried biscuit, toasted brown bread, some yeast, light cocoa powder. Dry finish.
