Draft. Cloudy golden amber color, massive thick white head. Aroma of peppery straw. Taste is bitter straw.

Sample on draft at The House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a black color with a small creamy tan head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was coconut, vanilla, malted milk and light chocolate. The flavor was moderately bitter and toasty with notes of coconut, vanilla, chocolate syrup, bourbon, malted milk and raisin. There was a light boozy presence that did note distract too much. The fish was long with coconut, vanilla, cocoa and raisin lingering. Thick, smooth and creamy body. Excellent.

A dark reddish brown porter with a thin big bubbled moka head. An interesting peaty chocolate aroma, wooden, not bad, more smokey. In mouth, an interesting mix of chocolate, light sour cherries, vanilla beans, and sherry cork. A bit thin but interesting. On tap at DBA Brooklyn, 1st Williamsburg Cask Ale Festival, Jan 10 2010.

(Cask at Rattle ’N’ Hum, NYC) Poured black with long lasting, large, dense and white head. Aroma of roastedness, coffee and liquorice. Palate was full bodied and creamy with low carbonation. Roastedness, liquorice, coffee, hops, malts, bitterness and hint of sweetness were the flavours. Roasty and bitter aftertaste.

on tap-pours an off white head and yellow/gold color. Aroma is light/medium malt/grain, some lemon. Taste is light/medium malt/grain, some lemon, spice hops.

on tap-pours an off white ring for a head and cloudy orange/brown color. Aroma is earthy, caramel, medium malt. Taste is earthy hops, caramel, medium malt, some tart fruit.

on tap-pours a thin white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is mild musty grain. Taste is musty grain/wheat, lemon, clove/pepper. Easy. Light body.
