This one had almost no aroma to speak of, other than a slight whiff of pale malts. Taste had just a hint of bitterness, and not much character. Wrong hops all around, I think.

This was the best beer of a four beer tasting palette. Dark brown, scant off white head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate, with similar taste. Medium body. Average

Keg at Peter Bs, Monterey, 29/04/14. Clear golden with a moderate white head. Nose is bread dough, floral notes, light citric peel, touch of hoppage. Taste comprises caramel, light vanilla, toasty maltage, citric rind, hint of orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light dryness and subtle bitterness in the close. Ok.

Keg at Peter Bs, Monterey, 29/04/14. Hazed golden yellow with a moderate off white swirl that retains. Nose is lemon rind, corriander, light spice, straw, yeast esters. Taste comprises yeast, bubblegum, lemon rind, spice, clove, corriander. Medium bodied, fine carbonatin, semi drying close. Solid wit.

Keg at Peter Bs, Monterey, 29/04/14. Light black with a moderate ta covering that dissipates to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is roast malt, chocolate, baking powder. Taste comprises roasty tones, light coffee, cocoa powder, dark toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough, above average stout.

Keg at Peter B’s, Monterey, 29/04/14. Very dark mahogany brown with a moderate tan swirl and edgework. Nose is big on coffee beans, roasted tones, espresso roast, dark toffee, light coconut shavings. Taste comprises bitter roast, espresso injection, more subtle coconut, cocoa nibs, toffee fudge, coffee grinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with coffee goodness. A more than solid coffee lead porter.

Taste comprises orange pith, grapefruit, toasty notes, straw, citric hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close laced with hop bitterness. Decent enough IPA.

Keg at Peter B’s, Monterey, 29/04/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is bitter citric peel, hoppy notes, pine, orange pith, pink grapefruit, toasty malt waftings. Taste comprises citric pithdom, pine bite, bitter grapefruit, straw, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Solid easy drinking DIPA, the 10% never interferes.

Draft. Amber beer with a nice whitish head. Nice grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light pine flavor with light malt. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and malt lingers with light pine.

Draft. Rich brown beer with a tan head. Malt and light caramel aroma with spice, Spice and rich malt flavor with light vegetal notes. Medium bodied. Spice and light caramel lingers with light vegetal notes.
