Draft. Amber beer with a whitish head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Light astringent flavor with light pine, light earth, and light citrus. Medium bodied. Light pine and light grapefruit linger with light astringency.

Now called SOS Hefeweizen Draft at Brewpub. Nose is light bananas, yeast, and a pasty wheat note. Murky yellow with a medium yellow tinged head. Flavor is whole grained bread, a hint of bitterness, and bananas.

Draft at Peter B’s, Monterey. Nose is vanilla, yeast, and a slight red wine note, with a way in the background hint of roasty coffee. Lightly hazy copper with a medium, lightly lacing, light beige head. Flavor is a little bitterness, vanilla, fruity golden raisins, and a hint of toffee. Excellent stuff; Peter B’s has really improved and diversified with the new brewer over the past couple years.

Draft at Peter B’s in Monterey. 5.7% ABV 35 IBU Aged in a chardonnay barrel for six months. Nose is chocolate, vanilla, and a light tart wine note. Black with a meadium, heavy lacing tan head. Flavor is light oaky vanilla, white wine, hint of tartness and bitterness, and lots of chocolate.
