Description

25cl bottle @ home. Hazy dark brown color with a nice dark red glow coming through. Big rough off-white head. Smell malts and lightly sweet. Taste malts, some fruityness, slightly sweetish hints, but a rather bitter finish. Decent carbonation, ok body.

Clear light red brown beer, big light beige head, pretty stable, adhesive. Aroma: sweet malty, candi sugar, bit peppery, milk chocolate, some overripe banana. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: malts, caramel, bit sour, red berries, toast, bit nutty, bitter chocolate. Aftertaste: bitter with a sour touch, dark chocolate in the end. Surprised about the low ratings...

Disparate white head over hazed pale yellow-orange beer. Strong nose of blue Curaçao peel (even when not used), vinous, and especially other yeasts (Pediococcus, Brett?) More oranges in the mouth, bitter, Brettanomyces, sweet-sourish. Light body, acidthinning, but very oily feel. Excellent and original.

30/I/2012 - 33cl bottle from Geers @ home - BB: 4/V/13 (2012-78)

Little cloudy deep yellow to orange beer, nice dense irregular head, unstable, adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, some pineapple, peaches, citrus, little piny, flowers and honey, spices. MF: lot of carbon, medium to full body, bit cloying texture. Taste: sweet candi sugar, fruity, bit of caramel, sweet malts, some honey, sweet. Aftertaste: bitter, but nog enough to get rid of the sweetness. Luckily still a bit of fruitiness left too.
