Description

Bottle @ home. Very hazy golden colour with a quickly gone white head. Smells glue, yeast, candy sweet, sweet and alcohol. Tastes somehow slightly sour tasting, but it?s actually quite sweet, fruity, wood, some hops, apricot. Taste is way better then the smell. Medium body, lovely fitting carbo.

Light gushing to all the same short-lived whitish head over hazed, not very well-carbonated orange beer. Very attractive fruity-sourish nose, mild acids as fruit- or lactic acid. Mouldy citruspeel; even horseblanket/Brett-like. Bretts or other wild yeast flavours, ending in lightly sourish fruitflavours, Very strangely, I get a faint cinnamon flavour retronasal. Very balanced and obviously evened-out, ripened. Light body, acid-thinning, feels more carbonated than it looks (which is pretty much zilch). Very good, not too strong: aged but not oxydized. Fruity as few. Succes on all levels.

33cl bottle @ home. Hazy yellow color, huge lightly creamy white head. Don’t smell much, just a bit malty and a bit sweet. Taste lightly malty, lightly sweet, slight fruityness. Low to medium body, low to medium carbo.

Little cloudy beige beer, small irregular off-white head, unstable, pretty adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, pineapple, passion fruit, bit piny, tart apples. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, lots of citrus, some cheese, overripe pineapple, bitter grapefruit. Aftertaste: quite sour, cheesy, lychees, little bitter. The barrel has clearly taken off some of the bitter edges. The sourness really works well on this one.

Bottle. Pours dirty brown with off white head. Nose of malt, dark fruit, mixed nuts and banana peel. Taste has those elements but this off water taffy/bubblegum and potting soil note throughout. Medium body.

33 Cl bottle taken in the back room of ‘tBrugs Beertje (through and past the toilets): Tom was looking after everybody back there this evening in Dec 2011. The body was a hazy mid-orange or old gold colour, on top a thin white head. Citrusy hop nose; with malt loaf and yeasts to add good measure. The taste was hops first and last, in between I found yeast, bread, sweetness and grapefruit flavours. The beer seemed slightly over carbonated and somewhat ‘fizzy’, it certainly flew out the bottle, but couldn’t call it a gush. Mr average in most aspects.

Had this from bottle at Vilvordia Bier Proef Festival, Jette, Brussels, Belgium Sat 24th March 2012 with Loz and in company of Simon, Jackie & David Hazy amber in colour, really floral nose, very perfumey, hadn’t read about this so didn’t know that it had been matured in Medoc casks, not sure what Medoc is but think this is wine so I guess that this is contributing to the nose. Unusual beer, tangy, fruity and with a little sourness but it is very nice. A8 A4 T6 P3 Ov14 3.5
