Description
Brouwer - eigenaar Luc Vermeersch heeft een grote interesse voor traditionele ambachten. Niet vreemd dus dat hij destijds in zijn tuinhuis een broodoven en kleine brouwerij heeft geïnstalleerd. De minibrouwerij van 30 liter had hij in 1997 in Finland gekocht. Hij kreeg van de fabrikant juist geteld één weekend opleiding. Door veel zelfstudie en het maken van talloze kleine proefbrouwsels groeide zijn brouwkennis en -interesse. Na 10 jaar brouwen schreef hij zich in voor een brouwcursus. Tijdens het cursusjaar smeedde hij plannen voor een grotere brouwerij en begon hij her en der delen van de installatie te kopen. In april 2008 was brouwerij De Leite een feit.

330ml bottle, from trade with JefVerstraete. Many thanks chap. Pours a misty deep gold, thin off-white head. Rich golden overripe sweet nuances on the nose. Taste presents explosive sharp rich sour complexitiez, some interesting sweet calvados excursions, tart, funk, light vinegar. All held together exceptionally well. Incredible stuff.

Bottle shared at THT August ‘19. Fairly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of mineral, yeast, oak and whiskey. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at THT August ‘19. Fairly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, starfruit, passion fruit, pineapple and lighter barnyard funk the the plain BA version. Flavour is moderate sweet and sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at home. Clear reddish brown with big fluffy reddish beige head. Oak, sour red berries, dry earthy notes, overripe blackberries, red wine, toasted dry malts. Medium sour, light bitter, quite light sweet. Medium bodied with dry finish. Quite nice.
