33cl bottle from eDrinks, Tallinn. Pours slightly hazy golden with a small, but dense, white head. Mild grainy aroma with some strange fruity-like and slightly earthy notes and hints of yeast. Medium sweet with fairly low flavour intensity and a quite light bitterness. A bit strange and not too pleasant, but somehow drinkable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kyoto Bakushu Yamada Nishiki (京都麦酒 山田錦) on 07 Oct 2016 at 18:29 - Score: 5

Can shared. Clear brown with a finger of foam that lingers. Dark fruit and toasted caramel on the nose. A little too sweet on the palate but some light peppery notes on the finish. Decent enough. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Kyoto Bakushu Brown Ale on 01 Oct 2016 at 15:20 - Score: 6

33cl bottle from eDrinks, Tallinn. Pours slightly hazy golden with a small, but dense, white head. Mild malty aroma with some fruity notes and hints of sour berries. Moderate sweet with fairly low flavour intensity and a light bitterness. Nothing to interesting going on here. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kyoto Bakushu Kölsch (京都麦酒 ケルシュ) on 04 Sep 2016 at 18:36 - Score: 6

Grainy golden, slightly hazy, it of foam. Aroma has some flowery grain character. Some wet cardboard also. Taste is relatively light, slightly grassy and has some yeasty character - not your usual lager, which is a definite plus. Still drink easy and does not have awful lot of character. Again, I think I got a fresh can this time, feels quite nice.

No foam, or very little, brown and relatively clear. Aroma is just caramel, sort of one dimensional but not necessarily bad. Taste has some more caramel, malt character is good and only a slight hint of bitterness. This batch seems to be in good shape, not that foul shit I had when I drank their pale ale. Probably they have some major issues with their quality, glad that this can is OK though. Not great but not spectacularly bad either.

Odd, not pinning this as black bean, has a starchy note, off dry finish, light toastiness. Interesting beer. Not something I’d drink much, but the black bean character is very unique.

Light amber, slight toasty, nice amber malts...unusual grain. Ok beer, even if the unusual grain signature lends itself to a wholly conventional product.

Slightly hazy, has a bit dirty character. Not bad, a bit tart and light. Sweetish malt.

Cloudy, thin head. Looks awful. Aroma is a touch foul. Thin. Bland, then a hit of diacetyl, total crap. Fuck off.

Can of "Gold". Hazy, dull gold, light apple nose, not a lot of maltiness. Dull, yeasty, kinda sour. Just a poorly made beer, unimpressed.
