500ml flip-top bottle bought on the airside of Berlin-Schönefeld Flughafen. Deep, golden-brown body. Patchy, beige surface. Smell of mid-sweet, grainy malts. Bready malts in flavour with hints of caramel. Herbal dryness to the aftertaste, very much in danger of leaving a cardboard impression. Medium bodied. Rather empty as a beer for the festive season (shared with Frau Eva, Tromsø 22.12.2009).

The bottle doesn’t look good. Too complex, not easy to find the correct "name" of the beer. Starts hoppy and fresh, a bit flowery. Finish a bit sourish-grasy, not really balanced. An average export!

The bottle looks simple, but good, the beer in the glass is amber coloured, small head. Starts malty and dry, modest bitter, a little bit fruity-rusty. Finish more and more dry and metallically. Average!

Bottled (flip-top, BB 12/2009). Thanks bierkoning! Deep ruby red color, tiny off-white head. Woody-grassy nose with caramelly nose. Caramel, grassy-woody hops, cardboard, quite alcoholic and sweet. Sweeter than the most doppebocks.

Bottled. Very deep rubyish brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel, wood, some mild herbal notes as well as bready and quite biscuity notes as well. Flavour is caramel, some fruits, wood and mild alcoholic notes. Too sweet in the flavour to be really enjoyed. Otherwise rather nice.
