Taster at the brewery. Medium amber, thin head, sheets of lacing. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Taste brings in the hops in a big way. Dank and bitter. Tastes like old times.

Dark brown with minimal foamy head. Nice full aroma of dried fruit, molasses, and oak barrel. Taste echoes the aroma, with alcohol very evident. Sharp, pungent finish.

Black with a silky head. Coffee and chocolate pair nicely without dominating. Smooth and nice body, lingering bitterness on the palate.

Dark and somewhat roasty, but lacking some of the bite of the German variety. Faint roast grain aoma, dark brown body with nice creamy head. Lacking some oomph on the finish.

I like this, stretches the boundaries a bit. Dry and hoppy, dark clear amber in color, smooth yet potent. Nicely done.

A bit lighter and more red than the German variety. Same dry roast nature though. Could have a bit more of the datkness about it....

Not as much hop nose as their regular IPA, but hops kick in on the palate. Nice dry astringent finish

Abit more hazy than its German brethren, but gives it more body also. Wheat dominates the aroma, taste and palate. Not noticing the banana finish.

Not a mead connoisseur, but this is something different, almost wine like in nature. Sweet and dry, with some alcohol burn.
