2007 edition, pint on tap at the brew pub. Perfect served at ambient temperature. Partly unclear, mahogany body under a fragile, filmy off-white layer. Plain dark malty aroma. Plenty of dark malts in flavour. Moderate sweetness. The aroma is very well interwoven with the taste in this one. Moderate to full palate. Well made xmas brew (enjoyed in a friendly atmosphere on a Tuesday evening 13.11.2007)

Pint on tap at the brewpub (5,8% ABV). Served at the right drinking temperature (this time). Slightly foggy brown body with no head. Sweet aroma of caramel and toffee. Quite enjoying flavour of dried fruits and fresh figs mixed with hints of honey sweetness. A light touch of bitterness towards the end. Typical OMB- carbonation. This is not a beer I would call a Dortmunder/Helles. Consumed in good company and splendid atmosphere after a board meeting in Oslo (13.11.2007).

On tap at the brewery. Reddish-brown with a small beige head. Nice carbonation and lacings. Malty sweetness in the aroma. Has the character I recognice in most of the other beers. Light roasted flavor wth a nice fruity bitterness. Medium body and sweetness on the palate. A nice beer, but more a winter-beer than a christmas ale. (060118)

On tap at the brewpub. Clear, golden, almost copper, beer with a nice-looking carbonation and a small, diminishing, off-white head. The typical house character was present here as well, with hops, malt, some fruityness, and hints of pine and metal. Fruity, hoppy and malty flavor with some hints of metal and spicy hops. Medium body and a hoppy and bitter finish. A quaffable beer, so I had another one. I had a little sniff when I got the first pint from the barmaid, and my first though was that this was a blond ale of the English style, not a Belgian one. The tasting confirmed this impression, but it was a quite nice beer anyhow. (070321)

On tap @ the brewpub. Nice, very dark brown body with a creamy beige head. Aroma is roasted malt with a hint of liquorices. Flavor is mild, roasted, sweet, fruity, coffee and a hint of liquorices. A decent porter from an old Norwegian brewpub.

On tap at the brewpub. I finally got to meet Rune in Oslo, and we shared a few pints at OMB. Luckily for both of us, they had a new beer on, but unfortunately it was a quite boring one. It poured clear, copper-colored with a small off-white head. Some roasted notes, caramel and hints of metal in the aroma. The flavor is lightly roasted with some hops. Medium to thin body. The finish has a decent level of bitterness, and some caramel. After a while the house-character occurs. (061120)

Two pints at the brewpub. Clear and deep amber body. Almost no head at all. Dark, lightly malted aroma. Notes of plums and dark berries in flavour with a bruch of roasted barley. Short bitter end. A bit thin and crispated impression (enjoyed during some interesting beer talks with Yngwie 20.11.2006).

On tap at the brewpub. Served too cold. Clear, golden with a small off-white head. The aroma has the typical OMB-character, Malty and fruity, with caramel, some burnt hints, hops and sour notes. The flavor has caramel, some sourness and hops, and a sugary sweetness. Medium body and decent bitterness in the finish. Maybe a bit too gassy. Decent beer, nothing more. Rating: 5-3-5-3-11-2.7. 060827
On tap at the brewpub. A clear, golden beer with a minimal-sized white head. The aroma is fruity with some malty sweetness, bearing that typical butter-like house character. The flavor is pretty much the same, fruity and malty, caramel and a buttery touch. Quite low on bitterness, also in the finish. Medium body, smooth. A rather boring one, but it drinks easy. 100313

On tap at the brewpub. Served too hot. Pale yellow-golden and a small, white head. Weak aroma with banana and some cloves. Sweet flavor with banana and grainy notes. Creamy, carbonated mouthfeel, but a bit thin and sticky. The finish has some lemony notes, as well as banana and spices. Not worth returning for. (060827)

On tap at the brewpub. Served at correct cellar temperature. Deep golden to amber colour, creamy head, leaves a nice lacing. Moderate but nice aroma of toffee and butterscotch. Flavour is moderately malty and mellow with "dusty" hops (East Kent Goldings). Some bitterness in the finish / aftertaste. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing to make it stand out from your average bitter either.
