The flavor is mostly hoppy, with some caramel. Medium body, and a light dry finish with bitterness. (060225)

On tap at the brewpub. Golden beer with a small white head and a nice carbonation. The aroma is quite fruity, with a house-twist reminiscent of a dental-office. It can be found in the flavor too, and is present in most of their beers in a more or less pleasant way. The flavor has a slight sourness to it, too. Medium dry and bitter finish. (060225)

On tap at the brewpub. Have to wait five-six minutes for the drink to get ready. Dark, almost black. Creamy with a light brown head. Nice filigrees on the glass. Taste of dark chocolate and hints of coffee. The finish is burnt malt.

I drank a pint of The Steamer on a quiet Saturday afternoon at the brewpub (18.02.2006). A very good place to be in the cold and snowy capital of Norway. Very clear appearance with a delightful mahogany colour. Served too cold. Light and short lived head. Quite high carbonation level. Taste of sharp caramel and notes of light bitterness at the end.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub on a quiet Friday afternoon (17.02.2006) - a perfect time to sample beer at one of the best beer places in Norway. You have to wait a few minutes for the IPA. However, it’s well worth waiting for and you also get a more temperate drink. Hazy appearance and golden on colour. Thick white foam, slowly disappearing. Great lacing. Moderate hoppy aroma. Fruity with orange flavours. Hoppy and bitter. Harmonic bitter finish.
