Growler. Hazy amber golden with a creamy off-white head. Unclean, tart aroma. Medium body, a little low in carbonation, some caramel and less pleasant notes of manure. Oddly unclean. 110709

Growler shared by someone near the end of RBSG’09 Grand Tasting, I wrote down popory but that doesn’t seem to be a user on here, so whoever you were, thank you. It pours a dark copper with a slightly sticky head. Aroma is very vegetal with earthy, deep, sticky malts with a tender acetic quality. Flavor is lightly sticky red cherry with tart hints and those light vegetal/earthy touches. Weird stuff, not to off the style as there were other Flanders Red type brews in the same vain at this tasting as well.

A golden ale with a thin creamy white head. A pleasant peppery aroma, with wild herbs. In mouth, a herbal crisp malt with long astringent herbs, probably the wormwood, some peppermint. Lighter bodied. Not bad. Tasted at brewpub, Nov. 29, 2008, with Sponge.

A golden ale with no head. Pungeant jalapeno vinegar overwhelms anything else, some light fruity notes survive. In mouth, a light sweetish malt with some discreet hotness. So-so. Tasted at brewpub, Nov. 29, 2008, with Sponge.
