Draft at the San Diego brewpub. Aroma of light hop and pale malt. Amber color with a ringed white head. Floral/citrus hop with caramel malt. Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Nicely balanced finish with floral notes. Good, but I preferred American Dream. Can’t tell from the rating though.

Draft at the San Diego brewpub. The barmaid said pale ale. Light hop aroma. Golden amber color with a lacing white head. Floral/citrus hop with pale malt. Light overall, but the right tastes are present. Crisp. Clean. Reasonable bitter in the finish. Really enjoyed it.

Draft at the San Diego brewpub. Chalk board put the alcohol at 5.25. Aroma of banana and clove. Hazy, near opaque gold. Decent white head. Medium bodied. Creamy carbonation. A bit more clove and other spice than expected. It’s quite tasty. Light, clean clove finish.

Draft at the San Diego brewpub. The chalk board stated the alcohol at 4.6. Light spicey, honey aroma. Pale gold color with a light white head. Medium bodied; mild carbonation. Starts with definite honey; quite clean. Mild bitter. Nice finish. Very refreshing. This rating seems way out of line, and I usually rate lagers low. But it was good enough to be an ale (strange ale).

Draft. Cloudy light pale color with a thin white head. Banana/clove aroma, but a tad light. Spicey, fruity. Nicely done, but wish it had just a bit more.

Draft. Mahogony color with a whitish head. Nutty aroma with a hint of malt that also leads to a nutty/malty flavor. Just a pinch of spiciness, but not much. Finishes clean.

Draft. Dark amber with a thin white head. Not much aroma, a little fruitiness, but lacking. Slight cocoa flavor to go with a sweet malt backbone. Not much in the way of hops. Slight off-finish.

Draft. Amber color with a big white head. Some citrus aroma. Nice balance between malt and citrus hops. Easy drinking. Standard brewpub pale ale - not offensive, but doesn’t stand out.
