GABF 2012, October 12, Friday. Gold color and well carbonated. Lots of malt and a decent amount of hops, and good palate as well. They nailed the flavor and aroma.

Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a pure deep gold body that supports an off white head of foam. The aroma offers up a rye to a spicy hop like twang mixing with some sweet maltiness with a touch of toasted malts or toasted German rye bread. The taste has a decent level of sweet maltiness and it rolls quickly into grapefruit like hops, sort of a tart tangelo and then a spicy rye component around the edges. This is a nice pale ale with a pleasing level of nearly rich hop bitterness to stay well ahead of the maltiness.
