Description
Founders Javier Aldea and Sami Claret have quite an out-of-the-ordinary corporate philosophy: they’ve been brewing beer without a brewery of their own – rather, they’ve been travelling the world as beer nomads and produced their creations together with craft-beer buddies elsewhere.

Now their idea has been given a home, so to speak – and the beer nomads have settled down a bit, because since 2018 the Nómada beers are being brewed in the pilot brewhouse of Mahou San Miguel's Alovera facility. This alliance with Mahou San Miguel (with a stake of 40% in Nómada) is intended to help the brand focus more closely on the Spanish beer market.

Keg at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki. Hazy golden with small head. Lacquer and grapefruit up front. Mid dry with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Green apples and lacquer. Grapefruit and lychee. Mid bitter finish. Unclean, but off-flavours largely covered by hops.

Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light softish malts, mildly creamy sweetness. Decent yellow grapefruit, bitterish. Touch of fresh orange and mild tropical fruits. Back to grapefruit peel on the finish. Long bitter linger. Good stuff.

Hazy orange - gold beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate, slightly dry, crispy trailing edge. Smooth light malts bring a pleasant creamy sweetness. Pretty bitter mid. Smooth sweet fresh orange underneath, mellow mango led tropical fruits under that. Mild pine on the finish. Bitterness eases off a little as the beer warms up but still bitter overall. Pretty satisfying.

Light haze on this yellowish gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has a sharp minerally crispness. Thin dry pale malts bring reasonable sweetness. Sharpish yellow grapefruit, fresh and a little bitter. Grapefruit peel. Cooling pine and a touch of hop spice. Light dry crisp finish. Bitterish yellow grapefruit linger. Dryer than I would like but love the fresh yellow grapefruit vibe here.

Bottle in garden from Grumpy Goat, 22nd June 18. Pours an orange beer, towards the bottom of the bottle it gets gloopy and thick sludge, which at first I separated and then chucked in the glass, guess it's the oats. The aroma is bitter pith, grapefruit. Taste is up there bitter, grapefruit, resinous pine, pith, bitter orange marmalade, unforgiving and lingering bitter hop finish. Great to have a proper bitter IPA again.

Hazy dark mahogany color with small head. Sourish and feety aroma, caramel, light fruits. Caramel flavor, with some sourness, dust, light chocolate, bitter orange peel. The final is a bit astringent, tannic.
Well brewed, nice.
