Draught @ MBCC '17 [ Yellow Session ]. - Mikkeller Beer Copenhagen Celebration 2017, Øksnehallen, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 København V, Danmark. [ As Nómada Passiflora Sour ].Light unclear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, pale malt, tart, passion fruit, citric - zesty. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, citrus - lemon, passion fruit, sweet malt, yogurt notes. At a tasting, thanks, smallish creamy head, cloudy palish lemon yellow color, feral onion shrubby aroma, feral passion fruit flavor with some unripe fruit behind, light mellow sourness. Nice and enjoyable.

Bottle. Opaque deep black to brown. Modest ivory head. Aroma: genuine coconut, dark malts, vinous, toffee, minor smoke. Medium body. Medium sweet taste. Caramel, toffee. Not really roasty, coconut, warming alco. Tasty indeed.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 20A, adapted). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L4670132101 (BBF 13.JAN.18). AROMA: medium-high chocolate cookie-like aroma, slight Maillard, molasses and medium-high peppery alcohol. APPEARANCE: black color and opaque. medium Brown head with medium-low retention. TASTE: initial roasted flavor with a lightly burnt character, evolving into dark chocolate that fades. medium bitterness with a dry and roasted (almost burnt) finish. PALATE: medium-high to high body with medium-low carbonation. no astringency. OVERALL: a nice imperial porter.
