Description
Founders Javier Aldea and Sami Claret have quite an out-of-the-ordinary corporate philosophy: they’ve been brewing beer without a brewery of their own – rather, they’ve been travelling the world as beer nomads and produced their creations together with craft-beer buddies elsewhere.
Now their idea has been given a home, so to speak – and the beer nomads have settled down a bit, because since 2018 the Nómada beers are being brewed in the pilot brewhouse of Mahou San Miguel's Alovera facility. This alliance with Mahou San Miguel (with a stake of 40% in Nómada) is intended to help the brand focus more closely on the Spanish beer market.

24-05-17 // bottle from Holy Craft, Düsseldorf, shared. Hazy yellow beer small head. Great to see the oil settle in the bottle. But you dont actually taste oil in the beer if you dont pour the sediments. Taste is strawy, mild yeasty, light salt and spices. Quite interesting.

33 cl bottle at Gourmet Experience Callao, Madrid served in Gastro glass. Pours cloudy lemony yellow, whitish thick head. Aroma is pine, pine resin, pine cone, pine pine. Also some pine pomelo, should that exist. Mouthfeel is fizzy, round, fresh. Very bitter, quite long finish. So-so.

33 cl bottle @ home, bb 12 - 15. Pitch black color. Beige to brown head with just a thin layer retention. Aroma’s of roasted malts, coffee, a bit red fruit, dark chocolate. Retronasal there’s roasted malts, dark chocolate, light red fruit. Flavor is under moderate sweet, roasted, light bitter. Above medium bodied. Long finish with lots of roast, moderate bitter. Shame this is retired, this is pretty much how an impy should be.
