Description
Founders Javier Aldea and Sami Claret have quite an out-of-the-ordinary corporate philosophy: they’ve been brewing beer without a brewery of their own – rather, they’ve been travelling the world as beer nomads and produced their creations together with craft-beer buddies elsewhere.
Now their idea has been given a home, so to speak – and the beer nomads have settled down a bit, because since 2018 the Nómada beers are being brewed in the pilot brewhouse of Mahou San Miguel's Alovera facility. This alliance with Mahou San Miguel (with a stake of 40% in Nómada) is intended to help the brand focus more closely on the Spanish beer market.

Bottled. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and a bit of smoke, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Bottle@TTBS - Jet black pour with smal beige ring. Aroma and taste is roasted malty with a prominent coffee hit, some cocoa and liquorice, dark charred malty bites into the finish. Nice.

Flaska från saveur-bier drucken med ölföreningen. Stor söt och stark IS med ganska söt och alkoholstickig smak. Men också en lite salt sojaton. Gott

Bottled. Deep brown colour, close to black, with a dark brown creamy mediumsized head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is liquorice, some mild roast as well as some coffee and nutty notes. Flavour is liquorice, roasted malts, some nutty notes, coffee and slight alcohol sweetness to it. A bit tar like notes in the finish (kind of Tervaleijona like tar).

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, thick, frothy, rapidly diminishing, minimally lacing, brown head. Roasty dark malty aroma with notes of coffee, mocha, dark chocolate, leather, a touch of peat, smoke, ashes and vanilla, treacle, caramel. Taste is slightly dry and sweet, roasty dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, sugared black coffee, a touch of ashes, leather, bitter hoppy and bitter roasty conterweight; oily texture. Not overly rich and variegated, but focussed and well balanced. An "easy sipper" in a way.

Bottle from Saveur Biere and split at the EU themed 2nd Ipswich bottle share. Pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma is lovely with coffee, vanilla, milk chocolate and a touch of liquorice. Medium/full bodied, thick texture, soft carbonation, quite fresh. Much enjoyed, earning Spain third place on the night.

Bottle at home. Three year old. Has a very dark brown to black colour with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee beans, brownies, licorice, rye bread, ash and some smoke. Nice flavour with lots of chocolate, ash and roasted coffee beans. Has a slick and oily mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. A well-balanced porter which is dangerously easy-drinking and with lots of chocolate.
