Bottle from the Adnams shop at Holkham Norfolk. Which is a very pleasant place to buy beer. Anyway. Clear medium gold. Sturdy white foam. Cereal malts show a tad of sourness. Grass clippings hoppage. Semi sweet to start with moderate grassy bitterness. Nicely clean and quaffable. Moderate bitterness to finish. Steady away Helles.

Drinking this home in Juan de Mairena, finding this can at the Alcampo, Sevilla. A correct German lager, helles, refreshing and average, perfect at any time, malty, smooth and dry, a bit metalic, fairly bitter, classical German hop, 26.02.24

0.5 l bottle from 'Rudat', best before March 2026. Hazy, dark reddish brown with a medium large, foamy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-spicy and minimally fruity aroma of overripe banana, caramel, nuts, some clove and traces of raisins. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently yeasty-spicy, a little roasty and minimally fruity taste of caramel, overripe banana, toasted nuts, some clove, hints of dark honey and traces of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit chalky finish. Medium to full body, smooth and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Tasty Dunkelweizen, much better than expected!
