Bottle: Cloudy, amber coloured, big rocky brownish head that slowly collapses, moderate sweetish-bitter caramelly-malty nose with delicate traces of herbal hops, fortunately no whisky detectable; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; lingering and a bit drier and tart caramelly and herbal finish with - what a luck - very delicate traces of whisky or sherry. Oops: Better than expected…

27-01-21 // 330ml bottle. Thank KT. A good example of how not to bottle ferment. Gusher. Loads of sediments. Yeasty notes amd unbalanced. Opaque amber brown. Fine beige head (actually the best part of the beer). Aromas caramel, sweet dried fruits, light roasted sugars. Mild herbal earthy bitterness. Higher carbonation. General taste isnt too bad but the wrong bottle fermentation doesn’t make the beer really enjoyable. Stark röstiger Beginn mit Nuancen von Pfefferminz. Mild herb, konstant röstig, cremig malzig. Deutlich ansteigende Bitterkeit, Bitterschokolade, langer Nachhall. Gut. 11/11/10/11/7/11

Getreidiger Beginn, in dem ich die Hopfigkeit vermisse. Getreidig herber Mittelteil, weich, minimal fruchtig, süffig. Mittellanger Abgang. Gut trinkbar, kein IPA. 10/8/11/8/8/8

0.33 l bottle from 'Rudat', bottled in August 2020. Slow gusher! Slightly hazy, very dark ruby with a MASSIVE, fluffy, very slowly diminishing, beige head, covering 95% of the glass. Ever after five minutes, there is still foam coming out of the glass. Sweetish-malty, a bit fruity aroma of caramel, chocolate and some dark fruits. Gently sweet, malty, moderately roasty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, cocoa, coffee, some dark fruits and faint hints of iron, followed by a short, slightly roasty-bitter, minimally metallic finish. Medium body, fairly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Pleasant beer, but quite amateurish, sorry.

Bottle: Presumably hazy, deep reddish-amber coloured and crowned by a big rocky yellowish head, that slowly collapses, moderate sweet-bitter roasty-toasty with traces of coffee, indeed, and a certain fruitiness, herbal hops detectable - nevertheless; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, nearly medium bodied, fizzy; coffeeish finish, increasing bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent taste, unfortunately a bit too fizzy…
