Many thanks for this beer to Koelschtrinker. Pours a deep brown color with a light brown head. Coffee and chocolate. Decent, but nothing special.

Many thanks for this beer to Koelschtrinker. Pours a clear, dark color with a fine off-white head. Aroma is basically just malt. Flavor has a malt base, some caramel and not much hops. A bit sweet.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Pours clear amber with a low head and almost no retention. Aroma is butter, sugar icing, some toasted malts, some rust and metal. Body is medium but turning watery quickly, mostly sweet with a really low bitterness, iron, rust, low carbonation. Not harmonizing at all. Turns bitter on the palate, something that should have appeared earlier. Meh.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Pours clear buttery yellow with a medium head. Aroma is light butter, a bit of DMS, pale malts and traces of grassy hops. Body is light, softly sweet but quite bitter mostly, with a low carbonation. Still buttery, also metallic. Sweetish palate. Okay.

0.33 l bottle from the brewery, best before September 2017. Clear, dark reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, musty, a bit grassy aroma of caramel, toasted nuts, leaves, light vegetables and some plasticine. Moderately sweet, malty, slightly grassy and a bit musty taste of caramel, toasted nuts, light vegetables and a touch of straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy and fairly metallic finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Same problem as with the Pils, way too metallic in the finish, not really enjoyable, the aroma is a bit musty as well. Not good!

Trockener, mild herber Antrunk. Schnell wässrig werdend, weder erwähnenswert malzig noch wirklich hopfig, leider bleibt das Bier konstant auf diesem Level. Fast kein Nachgeschmack. 8/7/6/6/8/6

Herb-metallerner, mild getreidiger Antrunk. Die Metallnoten weichen einer nichtssagenden Hopfigkeit, trocken, zunehmend hellmalzig. Schnell wieder vergessen. 9/7/7/6/7/7

0.33 l bottle from the brewery, best before October 2017, bottled a few days ago. Clear, pale golden yellow with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, grassy-spicy, slightly floral and a little fruity aroma of fresh grass and a touch of citrus. A bit sweetish, slightly bitter, moderately grassy-spicy, quite floral and a little fruity taste of fresh grass, some grains and a touch of citrus, followed by a short, moderately bitter, grassy-spicy and quite metallic finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Could have been a pretty nice beer if it wasn’t for that fairly metallic finish.
