Bottle thanks to Keir. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, dark fruit, apple skin, booze. Medium body, raisin, bubblegum, yeast, spice, boozy finish, very good.

1/2 pour on tap at the brewery. It's an opaque black with no sparkle, finger-width tan head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong coconut balanced with chocolate and sweet malts. Taste has good strength mirroring aroma with additional hint of fruit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick, syrupy (not in a bad way) texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a dessert sipper, to be sure, but good balance evoking delicious German chocolate cake that doesn't go over the top.

From tap at the brewery. Hazy purple color with pink head. Fruity aroma, tart berries, sweet fruity notes too, vanilla notes. Sweet and acidic fruity taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
