Can. Clear golden amber with a cm of white head that fades after a little time. Floral aroma with grapefruit, lots of pine, some rockmelon. Just medium bodied. Wow, very rose like - not dried, fresh petals - light bread, some coconut, lots of pine, medium high bitterness at the dryish finish. Certainly focuses on the hop. Pretty good.

Bottle. Clear reddish amber. A little streak of white hangs on a the rim. Aroma of plums, nutmeg, cloves, oak - could it be sour or just lots of wine? Short of syrupy, lowish carbonation that really suits it. Sweet with almond stollen, lots of spices, oaked wine. Fruity with cherries, plums. I'm still not entirely clear whether there's a sour touch there (which is fine). Alcohol is not overt but it's warming. Interesting and pretty good. Can imagine it mellowing (further?) over another 5 years.
