Outstanding brown all with great balance, nice body and a good hop hit. Fantastic aromas of brown sugar, toffee, caramel, toast and just a hint of citrus. In the mouth, that toasty, roasty malt just sings, cut through with some lemon and grapefruit. I'm seriously impresseed.

(On tap) Opaque amber brown with tiny head. Aroma is frangipane with citrus hints. Full bodied, creamy with fine bright carbonation. Excellent and unusual taste. There’s heaps of lovely fruit - mandarin, yuzu, pineapple. There’s a nice creaminess that provides great balance to the tart fruit. I get almonds or frangipane notes too. The barest hint of bitterness in the finish. Awesome

From a 355ml can on 19/8/2021. Pours a deep brown with a small head. Smells of caramel and chocolate with some roastiness. There's dark and milk chocolate, a bit of coffee and caramel up front with a quite firm roasty bitterness, with hints of licorice and molasses in the background. The little bit boozy in the finish. The mouthfeel is syrupy, the carbonation moderate. A decent big impy but doesn't provide any thrills.

Pours pink-tinged amber. fading white head.Nose shows raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, and berry confectionery.Flavours include more berry, big raspberry note in particular. Finishes with a decent refreshing acidity.

Can. Very dark brown with a coat of tan head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, caramel - could be maple syrup but not obviously so. Barely medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Not sure whether it's just not as sweet as expected or (also) a bit hollow in the middle, but there's chocolate and vanilla, light roast and that drying sappiness of maple syrup along with some bitterness at the end.
