Keg at Beer Museum in Prague Day 5 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 3/10/14. Clear with a light haze, goldenm coloured pour with a creamy white head. Arom ais sweet grains, earthy straw, bit stale malts. Flavour is composed of grainy, harsh earthy malts, spicy hop, semi sweet grains. Bit under fermenting. Palate isflabby grainy, moderate carbonation, milky, semi-stale lager.

Handbottled from Richtar Jakub. Golden color with thick white head.lively carbonation. Malty aroma with notes of bitter hops. Malty taste with bitter hops, light diacetyl and wet mop. Drinkable beer but not very tasty.

On tap at the brewpub. Dark ruby-brown colour, medium light brown head. Aroma medium coffee, medium caramel, light roasted. Taste is watery, yet the beer drinakble. Medium caramel sweetness, light roast bitterness. The sweetness seems too artificial though, sugary, not too good. 6 4 4 3 9 rerate, tap at RJ. Aroma roasted, coffee, light caramel. Dark colour. Taste is nice, harmonic, dark roasted coffee notes, light caramel. Nice, easy drinking example of Czech dark lager. I like it.

Tap at the brewpub. Lightly hazy yellow colour. Medium white head. Aroma skunky, eurobeer, old beer, Taste not better, used socks, dirty glass, eurobeer. bad. Finish is urging you not to drink more. 4 3 3 1 5 rerate at RJ. Aroma somewhat mild, yeast, malt, hops, clean typical aromas. Lightly hazy golden colour. White head, moderate duration. Taste has considerable DMS, light honeyish malt, moderate bitterness. Drinkable, but not exactly excellent.
