(Keg at St Urhos Pub Portteri ja Stout-päivät 2018) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had burnt malts, sweetness and milk chocolate. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, chocolate, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A pleasant sweet stout. Not too sweet and not too burnt.

St Urho’s pub, portteripäivät 2017. Poured murky dark brown color with almost no head. Rye bread, toast, mämmi aroma. Flavor has rye bread, molasses, roasted malt, chocolate. Some burnt notes. Feels quite thin for the abv.

Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were coffee, burnt malts, dark chocolate, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had sweetness, coffee and bitterness. A brew with messy overall feeling and disturbing flatness.

(Keg at St. Urho’s Pub Portteri- ja Stout-päivät 2016) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, liquorice and salty liquorice. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation and burning from chilli. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, liquorice, salty liquorice, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste had liquorice and bitterness. A nice candy and chilli infused stout. Rumour has it that the secret ingredients were chipotle chilli and Turkinpippuri.

Tap at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Colour is cloudy and yeasty orange with almost no head. Aromas and flavours: Sweetness, yeast, grain and malts.

Draught @ St. Urhos. Aroma is sweet with milky tones, milk chocolate and some licorice. Also cocoa. Flavour has milk chocolate, licorice root and mellow herbal tones. Gets even some raspberry juice when warming up. Flat palate, almost on CO2 at all. Finishes with some salty licorice. Clean and easy to drink.

Draught @ the brewpub. Aroma has sweet honey tones, some citrus and apricot. Also hints of biscuits. Flavour is rather tart with grapefruit, lactic acid, honey and gooseberry bush leaves. Aroma was okay but flavour feels rather contaminated.

Draught @ the brewpub. Aroma has strong spicy tones, clove and mulled wine. Flavour has spices, clove, cinnamon, gingerbread and licorice. The last two are nice but this is just too spicy otherwise. And this is clean unlike the Rohkea was.
