Description
Perhon Panimo on Helsingin vanhin toiminnassa oleva pienpanimo, joka toimii opetuspanimona. Oluita ovat valmistamassa oluentekijöiden lisäksi kokki- ja tarjoilijaopiskelijamme.
Panimo on perustettu vuonna 1995. Ensimmäinen oluemme oli Perhon Rohkea (Amber ale), joka on edelleen valikoimissamme. Sen lisäksi kokeilemme rohkeasti erilaisia reseptejä. Kausioluet kuuluvat luonnollisesti valikoimiimme.

Tap @ St Urho’s Sahtipäivät 2014. Murky brown, almost no head. Minerally, ripe banana, medicinal aroma. Flavor has medicinal notes, juniper, banana. smooth and easy, but something disturbing me here.

Draught (7%) @ St. Urhon Sahtipäivät 2014
Quite light aroma with just some yeasty tones and banana esthers. Flavour is odd with some berries and yeasty tones. Finishes with weird hay tones and gooseberry bush leaves. A bit straightforward and odd. 6-3-6-3-13=3.1
Draught @ St. Urhon Sahtipäivät 2015
Magnum hopped version
Aroma is quite nothing with hayish tones and mild banana notes. Flavour has juniper, hayish tones, flour and some toffee. A bit messy.

Draught @ the brewpub
Aroma eels contaminated and tart with currants and lactic notes. Foamy palate. Flavour is sour and tart with redcurrants, some grapefruit and sweetish berry juice tones. Also some distant lactic notes. Contaminated, but not completely unpleasant. Actually quite close to a homemade currant juice.

(Draught at SOPP’10) Poured amber and clear. Head was medium sized and white. Aroma was sweet and fruity. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, hops, hint of fruitiness, mild sourness and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was sour and bitter. Could be contaminated batch and I’ve yet to taste a batch of a Perho beer that’s not contaminated.

Draught at the brewpub. Poured a slighty darker amber body with a thick white head. Dry malty nose, slightly sweet, not all that pungent. Sweet yeasty taste, bready, some very light berries and maybe alcohol. Ok enough, nothing too special.

Draught at the brewpub. Poured a dark rd clour with a slightly off white head. Light nose of dark malts, yoghurt and coffee. Roasty, kina creamy taste. Ok, kinda nice balanced dark ale, didn’t notice the spicces though and it seems to have improved.
