Bottle. Grassy hope nose, with a honey sweet maltiness, a bit of citrus acidity and just the right amount of carbonation.

Canned 500ml. -from random Billa Bratislava. Pale golden coloured, medium sized airy white head, dusty nose. Mineral water with touch of lemon and corn. Crap; is this Van Pur maybe???

0.5l can courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who brought it from Bratislava (thanks!) Poured a golden body with a medium sized white head that went away relatively slowly. No aroma. The taste isn’t all that far too... water, lemony metal or citric acid depending on the sip, extremely light bitterness. Not unpleasant but crap. Mineral water with few drops of citric acid, truly a pinnacle of brewing craft.

Can (BB 04/2009)
Can says "produced in EU, distributor Pilsberg, Popra". Pale yellow color, small white head. Light aroma of cardboard and apples. Very watery. Only light flavor of grains. I could use this for flowers.

When fresh, this beer explodes with a rich, earthy hoppiness right off the nose, and carries through with a well-structured hop/malt body - good bread, good hops, and a dry finish. That said, this is a classic pilsner in that it has no shelf life at all, so most of the time it tastes of stale hops with astringent bitterness and no malt interplay. The rating, of course, is for a fresh one.
