29/06 1.5 l plastic bottle, thanks mom for bringing it here. It poured hazy brown body with small ivory head. Caramel malt, stale yeast and sourish hop aroma. Dryer flavor, as of those hops, slightly sourish and not well balancing its dark maltiness. Medium body with longer herbal finish, touched with licorice and some boring yeast notes. Gets a bit better when you get used to it. Not so good as their pale one, don’t believe fresh is any better, as this one wasn’t really old.

29/06 1.5 l plastic bottle, obvious source. It poured hazy yellow body with medium sized head that went away fast. Fine chalky yeast and bread malt aroma, pretty pleasant. Flavor is weaker, chalky, slightly cardboard to herbal bitter, bread malty, notes of salt. Similar aftertaste, where dry herbal hops are dominating. Simple, with some fine flavors inside, being a bit above average for Slovenian brewpub beer.

Another bottle brought by heavy’s mom from Podčetrtek (huge thanks!) Poured a misty brown body with a tiny slightly off white head. Stale yeasty nose, typical for Slovenian micros that are bad or go bad. Light taste, propolis, stale yeast, some light acidity, carbonation bite. Oh well. And apparently it wasn’t in much better shape fresh. The difference in quality between the pale and the dark is staggering like this. I wonder what it tastes like fresh (like, really fresh), and hope to rerate it.

Brought from Podčetrtek by heavy’s mom (huge thanks!) Poured a hazy golden body with a medium sized white head. Light, slightly sourish herbal-yeasty nose, sweetish, not bad but not distinctive. Light, nicely bready taste, yeasty but refreshing, light lemon from (guessing) the Goldings underneath, light herbal notes too, not much aftertaste. Better than most Slovenian micro pale lagers, too drinkable for its own good!
