(Bottle 33 cl) Poland’s best known beer? Well, at least outside Poland it is, I guess. Clear, golden with a very limited head. Most characteristic is the extremely soft mouthfeel, almost like velvet on your tongue... Maybe it’s because of the mountain springwater? All aside it’s basically just a strong lager with a rounded bitterness. Good one. 140203

An orange beer with an orange head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet malty, but the body is thin.

Smells like a poor beer, and tastes like any other Strong Lager for which we don’t feel the need… High ending bitterness.

Black color. The aroma plays with caramel and roasted malt, the flavor with roasted malt and chocolate, oxidised; medium to strong body. Strong chocolate and roasted malt at the end. Light liquorice; alcohol warmth.

Dark color. Interesting aroma: caramel, nuts, roasted malt. And the taste goes along.... Thanks Jens (Ungstrup) for this bottle!

Bottle. Vegetable malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Slight sweet vegetable malt flavor - mild hops flavor. Not bad for a European lager.

500 ml bottle. Very dark ruby colour, large thick tan head. Malty aroma with smoked notes, elements of espresso coffee, tar and old woodwork. Flavour is initially a tad sweeter than I appreciate, roasted malts with tar, coffee and prunes. A distinct bitterness from the hops and roasted malts takes over, and lasts through the long aftertaste. The high ABV is well hidden. A solid Baltic porter, but not as good as Sinebrychoff.
