500ml bottle. Pours crystal clear gold with a tall white head. Aroma is decisively buttery, with some hay and malt too. Taste is the same, with a very light bitter finish. A typical Azerbaijani beer, but I quite like it.

500ml bottle from a shop at Surakhani Railway Station in the Baku suburbs. My first Azerbaijani Zhigulyovskoye. Pours clear gold with a medium-sized white head. Aroma is grain, grass and malt. Taste is light sweet, malt, cereal, low bitter finish. Typical easy-drinking post-Soviet lager. Not bad, but not very interesting either.

500ml bottle at 4.8% ABV. Pours clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is corn, grain and cardboard. Taste is sweet and grainy, minimal bitterness. Similar to an American adjunct lager. Not much of a pilsner.
