Description
Since 1993, FrogPubs has been serving its own handcrafted beers, all freshly brewed and straight from the vats. We are now far from the small microbrewery - still in use - in the cellar of Frog & Roast beef. Today, in addition to brewing every day in six of our thirteen pubs, FrogBeer has its own production brewery located north of Paris in the city of Pierrefitte-sur-Seine. This is where beer is brewed for FrogPubs, FrogBurgers, specialty stores and bars across France.

In our seven breweries, our 37 brewers create 12,000 hectoliters of beer per year with nearly forty different recipes, for the pleasure of your taste buds! The Brewery for bottled beers is in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine.

Cask at Frog and Rosbif, Paris This is a decent stab at an english best bitter with good malt and hops and good balance. My friend in Paris just loves having something english and this is as close as he can get normally

Cask at Frog and Rosbif, Paris Black stout, tastes of a good creamy stout, bit more of a coffee edge. Good malt chocolate/coffee finish. Extremely good after a day sights seeing in Paris

From a sampler at the St. Denis location. Pours almost black with a medium thin and foamy beige head. Next to no lacing. The aroma is both roasty and metallic. Kind of thin for a Stout, with flavors of roasted coffee, chocolate and foam rubber. The finish falls a little short too. Disappointing considering this was the only French Stout I got to try on my trip.

From a sampler at the St. Denis location. Deep amber color with a medium beige head and light lacing. The aroma is mostly malty with a touch of floral hops. Medium body and not really bitter at all. The hops are mild and there is more than enough malt to counterbalance. This actually seems closer to an Amber in many regards. The finish is on the sweet side with some fruit thrown in. Not a bad beer, but not really in line with the category they are trying to achieve.

From a sampler at the St. Denis location. Dark yellow color with a compact white head. Very little lacing. The aroma is fruity with faint hops. Light body with sweet fruit, hops and malt in the flavor. The finish is crisp and tastes like sweet fruit. This is a decent beer but would benefit greatly from more flavor.

From a sampler at the St. Denis location. Pours a dark amber color with a medium beige head. The aroma is lightly malty. Medium body with a Killian's-ish flavor of tame malt with light hops in the background. The finish is crisp but not very flavorable. Just so-so.

This was the best beer I tried at Frog & Rosbif on St. Denis. Pours a lightly hazy golden color with a medium thin white head. The aroma is nicely citric and wheaty. Light and smooth body with flavors of citrus, vanilla and wheat. The finish is a little hoppy and a little spicy. This is a pretty good Wit.
