Jun(?) ’14. 0.5 l bottle at Dva Tona bar, Split. Poured golden body with small head. Aroma was lightly herbal hoppy with some sour lactic buttery component. Flavor was lightly bitter, pleasantly malted in biscuit and fruity way. Medium bodied with moderately long herbal and papery bitter finish. Pleasant, well rounded and I would say typical Czech pilsener. No surprises here!

Jun. ’14. A 0.33 l bottle from Vrutak store, Zagreb. It poured, interestingly, nice dark golden body with medium sized head. Stinky cornflakes aroma. Flavor was sour, malty, but not sweet, just ugly corny, cooked vegetables, whatever. Thin bodied with a bit more sweeter finish, corn and cabbage mostly. One euro too much.

Heavy brought this from Vrutak, thanks! Poured a golden body with asmall white head.Sweet, malty grainy, full but unattractive aroma and taste. Somewhere between crap and mediocre. There are better choices, far better choices.

Another Czech beer. Pours a clear golden color and a medium white head. The aroma is decent, some malts and grains also some fruity present. The taste starts sweet, reminds me of honey, followed by balanced body and slightly bitter aftertaste. Drinkable, refreshing. Nice

Ah yeah, an Italian company creates a Czech subsidiary to contract a series of beers from a Czech brewery. And somehow the beers end up in Croatia. Didn’t expect that so fast. Golden body, small white head. The nose was a pleasant surprise. Nice, soft, herbal, somewhat fruity, though I can’t pinpoint what exactly. The hop rises fast, herbal bitterness, pine, some graininess underneath. But it somehow does get tedious later on. It’s a quality lager nonetheless.

Bottled 500ml. -from Vrutak Zagreb. Clear golden coloured, medium sized creamy white head, mild buttery hoppy nose. The taste is pretty similar to Slovenian brewpub beers. Quite bitter hoppy, grassy and slight grainy with short bitter finish. Not as bad as could be but also could be (much) better.

Bottled 330ml. -from Vrutak Zagreb. Golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, cereals in the nose. Bitterish grainy and cereals with pretty strong corn presence. Mild and short bitter finish. Average one.
